SUICIDE INTERVENTION TRAINING
2-day certified training at a special rate
made possible through Cal U of PA & TAPS trained ASIST facilitators
A two-day interactive workshop teaching participants to recognize when someone may have thoughts of suicide and how to work with them to create a plan that will support their safety.
· Guided by three Living Works registered trainers
· A scientifically proven intervention model
· Powerful audio-visual learning aids and training materials
· Group discussions and skills practice opportunities
By completing the workshop, participants will be able to:
1. Discuss suicide with a person at risk in a direct manner;
2. Identify risk alerts and develop a safe plan related to them;
3. Demonstrate the skills required to intervene with a person at risk of suicide;
4. Recognize that suicide prevention is broader than suicide intervention and, includes life promotion and self-care for persons at risk and for caregivers
