It’s Week 2 of the Fall semester! Hopefully, you are managing your mental health along with your academic responsibilities and physical wellbeing. If not, we can help! The CalU Counseling Center provides assessment, counseling, and referral to students on a voluntary and confidential basis. Our purpose is to help students cope with dilemmas in their personal development or with painful life events, and also to help students develop resiliency so they are better able to respond to problems and concerns. We are here to help in ways that further students’ growth and make their experiences at CalU more productive and successful.

How to make an appointment: All CalU students are eligible to obtain sessions during the daytime hours (Monday through Friday, 8:00AM-4:00PM) when the University is open for regular classroom activity. To schedule an appointment, please call 724. 938.4056.

New this year! The CalU Counseling Center is offering triage/walk-in appointments. These brief (usually 30 minutes or less) appointments are a great way to start the counseling process, obtain referrals to other on-campus and off-campus resources, and get support without having to make an appointment. (We know that some of you use your phones for everything except make phone calls!)

Triage hours are as follows:   Tuesdays 1:00-4:00PM

                                                Wednesdays 9:00AM-12:00PM

                                                Thursdays 1:00-4:00PM

                                                Fridays 9:00AM-12:00PM

Emergencies: For counseling emergencies during office hours, please come to the Counseling Center and ask to be seen by the crisis counselor on call. For after-hours emergencies, please call Public Safety at 724.938.4357 or the SPHS Hotline at 724-225-3584.
