Global Online Admissions Process

We want to make it easy for you to apply to PennWest California as an undergraduate or graduate student.  Please review your appropriate step-by-step process below to get started on your future at PennWest California.

Global Online Undergraduate Admissions Process

Here's your step-by-step guide to apply for admission to PennWest California as a 100% Global Online undergraduate.

Whether you've just graduated from high school or you've been out for more than two years, you'll complete the following steps to apply, just like any new, incoming PennWest California undergraduate who plans to study on campus.

Step 1:  Complete and submit our online application for undergraduate admission.

Step 2:  Provide the following materials:

  • An official high school transcript and, if applicable, a copy of your GED certificate and scores.
  • Official SAT or ACT score(s) from an official testing source or on an official high school transcript. (This requirement is waived if you have been out of high school for more than two years or have earned college credits.)
  • A personal essay (optional).
  • A non-refundable $35 application fee, payable to PennWest California.

Step 3:  Expect a decision. You will be considered for admission to PennWest California after careful review of all applicable materials, including your high school record, academic coursework and SAT/ACT scores. We do pay attention to your personal essay, extracurricular activities and letters of recommendation, if submitted.

If you have questions or need more help, please contact your admission counselor who will be ready to assist you.

Global Online Graduate Admissions Process

Here's your step-by-step guide to apply for admission to PennWest California's School of Graduate Studies and Research as a 100% Global Online graduate student.

Step 1:  If you would like to be considered for admission to a graduate program of study, you must submit your completed graduate admission application. The same application is used to apply to all graduate degree and certificate programs, whether you are studying on campus or online. Also, submit a non-refundable $35 application fee for master's level programs; or a non-refundable $50 application fee for doctorate programs and international applications.

Apply for admission as early as possible, preferably no later than two weeks before the session in which you plan to enroll.

Step 2:  Be aware that admission requirements vary by graduate program. For instance, some graduate degrees may require prerequisite undergraduate coursework. Check your program for specific admissions requirements; contact your graduate program coordinator; or contact the graduate school at 724-938-4187 or GradAdmissions@pennwest.edu

Step 3:  You will need to provide evidence of a bachelor's degree from a college or university accredited by the National Commission on Accreditation or the appropriate regional accrediting agency.

Official transcript(s) of your undergraduate work from accredited institution(s) must be sent by the granting institution.  Other transcripts may be required for admission to certain programs. If you earned your degree at PennWest California, we will access your transcripts,  so you do not need to request that they be submitted.
