UPDATE: WOMEN'S TENNIS REACHES QUARTERFINALS

The women's tennis team defeated Cameron (Okla.) University 5-2 in the Round of 16 at the NCAA Division II National Championships. The Vulcans will face Barry University in the quarterfinals on May 17 in Louisville, Ky.

CAL U OFFERS SUMMER FUN WEEK AT SOUTHPOINTE

Register your child today for a week of educational summer fun June 18-22 at Cal U's Southpointe Center. Sessions will be held from 1-4 p.m. daily for children ages 8-12 and will include a variety of entertaining, yet educational programs.

Cal U has earned a listing again in The Princeton Review's 'Guide to Green Colleges,' a directory produced annually in partnership with the U.S. Green Building Council. The University's profile focuses on the sustainable geothermal energy used for heating and cooling residence halls.

BENEDUM GRANT SUPPORTS MECHATRONICS TRAINING

A Benedum Foundation grant will support training for secondary and post-secondary teachers when Cal U hosts a Siemens Mechatronic Systems Instructor Certification Program this summer.

PARKING PERMIT RENEWAL OPEN FOR STUDENTS

All students with Semester and Academic permits may renew their parking permits until May 12. All incoming freshman can purchase a LOT 24 permit through the parking website once they have received their Cal U e-mail address and password to register their parking account. DIRECTIONS TO CAL U'S ROADMAN PARK

From the Cal U entrance, follow Third Street to the traffic light at Wood. Turn left; continue uphill to the stop sign. Bear left slightly to continue on California Road (Route 88). Roadman Park is on your right. For parking, use the entrance just AFTER Adamson Stadium.

PARKING REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS

Students, faculty and staff who wish to park at Cal U must register online and obtain a parking permit/hang tag. Permits are required for parking on the main campus and at Roadman Park. Registration is open year ’round. Click "more" for step-by-step instructions.

UNIVERSITY AVENUE NOW ONE-WAY STREET

University Avenue has been permanently restricted to one-way traffic between Third Street and Second Street, in front of Old Main. A portion of Second Street, in front of Eberly Science and Technology Center, now is a one-way street, as well. Click "more" for details and a route map.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF HAMER RAILROAD CROSSING

Starting July 7, the Hamer Railroad crossing will be temporarily closed to vehicular traffic. Vehicles may use the Beazel Street crossing to access parking lot 4. Pedestrians can continue to cross at Hamer.

RETURNING PARKING PERMITS

Any student who chooses to return his or her parking permit, including those who are leaving the University, will receive a refund if the parking hang-tag is returned within the first five weeks of the semester. Click "more" to see a pro-rated rate table for refunds.

SIGN UP FOR NEXTBUS TEXT ALERTS

Riders who use the Vulcan Flyer can register to receive text messages with the latest news about delays or changes in shuttle service. Sign-up is free; standard fees for text messages may apply.

MMVTA OFFERS FREE BUS SERVICES FOR STUDENTS

The Mid Mon Valley Transit Authority has announced several new or updated routes, including free bus services from the park-and-ride lot in Large, Pa., for students with valid CalCards. For more information click  here.

HANDICAPPED, VISITOR PARKING

Handicapped access parking spaces are available on the main campus. All bus service between Roadman Park and main campus is handicapped accessible. Limited handicapped parking for visitors is available at the Vulcan Garage.
