The Cal U PGM Program will be offering a  FREE junior girls’ golf clinic for girls ages 12-17 on Wednesday March 13th . The clinic is sponsored by the LPGA-USGA Girls’ Golf Program, and all participants will receive a free “goody bag”.  The purpose of this program is to provide a fun afternoon of indoor golf instruction and to learn about Cal U in general and the Cal U PGM program in particular. No golf experience is necessary.

 

The itinerary for the free CAL U / LPGA-USGA GIRLS GOLF DAY is as follows:

Wednesday, March 13th, 2013


4:00-5:00 PM:
 
Presentation and campus tour with Cal U Admissions Office personnel. This is designed to teach the girls and their families about college life and the college admissions process.
5:00-7:30 PM:
Golf instruction in the PGM STAR (Student Teaching and Research) Academy, the PGM program’s indoor facility in Gallagher Hall. The facility includes a 1,200 square foot putting/ chipping green, six hitting bays, and a simulator room.

 

Space will be limited to 24 girls. Interested participants must notify Vanessa MacKinnon by email (mackinnon@calu.edu) prior to Friday, March 8th. Pass this information on to your daughters, granddaughters, little sisters, etc! Please include girl's name, parent or guardian email address, girl's age, and girl's year in middle or high school (sophomore, junior, etc.) More details will be emailed to registered participants a few days prior to the event.
