DOES YOUR PROFESSOR
DESERVE AN AWARD?
You can nominate your professor for the FPDC’s 2014 Merit Award in (1) research, (2) teaching and learning, (3) technology, (4) service and service-learning, or (5) grant-writing. These awards will be given by the Research, Teaching and Learning, Technology, Service and Service-Learning, and Grants and Contracts Subcommittees of the Faculty Professional Development Committee.
The merit awards recognize faculty who are currently engaged in exceptional research, teaching, technology, or grant-writing, or faculty who have demonstrated an exceptional commitment to service. The award recipients receive $1,000 that can be used for their preferred professional activity (as appropriate in relation to the award). In addition, the awardees are recognized at a Merit Award Event, where the honorees are given an award certificate and honors cords to wear at the May commencement ceremonies, where they are also recognized.
Nomination forms can be downloaded from the Faculty Professional Development Committee’s website: http://www.calu.edu/faculty-staff/fpdc/grants/index.htm#merit
Hurry!!!!! The nomination forms must be submitted to the Faculty Center (134 Azorsky) by noon on February 17, 2014.
