With registration for Spring 2020 semester starting in early November, the Office of Academic Success is hosting an event to prepare students.

A “Kick-Start Your Success at Cal U” carnival will be held 9 a.m.-3p.m. Oct. 15 in the Heritage Lounge of the Natali Student Center.

Students can ask questions and receive advice on course scheduling from the following areas: Scheduling Center,  Success Center, Student Accounts, Housing, Placement Testing, Career and Professional Development Center, Financial Aid, PSECU Financial Education Center, and the bookstore

A step-by-step guide to the scheduling process.

The mission of the Office of Academic Success is to foster and support students in all phases of their academic endeavors by providing comprehensive programs, resources and assistance.

“We want things to be as convenient as we can for our students,” said Amanda Rbaibi, academic counselor in the Office of Academic Success.

“The Cal U Ready event brings all the relevant offices together in one location so we can help students with registering, scheduling and anything else, such as placement testing or meeting with a career counselor.”

The event will include free food, prizes and giveaways for students, including a $60 bookstore gift card, a $100 Visa card from PSECU, and a free parking pass for the spring semester. Ten students will be chosen to be the first to register for spring classes.
