All of PennWest California's business administration programs put significant emphasis on building quantitative, critical thinking and analytical skills. Students graduate not only with a demonstrated competence in their subject area, but also with the ability to apply that knowledge.
Business administration students are required to add a minor:
- Some students choose a business discipline other than their concentration.
- Other popular choices include psychology, communication studies, public relations, statistics, computer information systems, leadership, women's studies, Spanish and Arabic.
- Students also choose to complete dual majors or dual degrees with international studies or math.
The 21-credit minor in human resource management allows students in any discipline to enhance their "people skills" in order to become better managers or employees, and to better understand relationships in the workplace.
PennWest California business graduates are well prepared for a wide range of career opportunities. Recent PennWest California business graduates also have been accepted into graduate business programs at such distinguished institutions as the University of Pittsburgh, West Virginia University and the College of William and Mary, and into graduate economics programs at Youngstown State and Florida State.
