Your PennWest California career coach is always ready to answer your questions, help you explore majors and careers, and work with you to create your personal career action plan.
Every undergraduate and graduate student at PennWest California is assigned a career coach according to the college their major falls under - the College of Education and Human Services, the Eberly College of Science and Technology, or the College of Liberal Arts, or the College of Graduate Studies/GO.

You can make appointment with your career coach from your computer or phone using the Handshake website or app.

If you've yet to decide your major, you can still get help from a career coach. Just contact the Career and Professional Development Center or use Handshake to schedule an appointment with a career coach.

Your career coach can help you:
- Explore your interests and choose a major.
- Discover what you can do with your major.
- Learn how to find a paid, career-related co-op position, an internship or a full-time job.
- Find and apply to graduate schools.
- Develop an effective resume and cover letter.
- Connect with employers who are hiring and get tips on your job applications.
- Prepare for an interview, job fair or networking event.
