Diplomas and Transcripts

To begin the apostille process for a diploma or transcript, please following the steps below:
Submit your completed Notary Service Request form, along with your documents to be notarized to the Academic Records office in Dixon
122. You will be required to present photo ID to submit your request in person.

Original diploma(s) must accompany this form when delivered to Academic Records
Every attempt is made to complete the notary within two weeks of receipt of the request and accompanying documents. Notarized documents cannot be emailed.
Students must be aware that:
- Transcripts displaying a graduation date are ready usually one week after the end of term for graduate students and two weeks following the end of term for undergraduate students.
- Diplomas are distributed by Office of Academic Records. Please contact the office

Our diplomas were redesigned in May 2011 for both graduate and undergraduate degrees.

The typical turnaround time is 6-8 weeks. Processing time will vary depending on when a request and payment is received.
Your name on your diploma must be identical to the way it appears on the University's student information system.
If any information in incorrect, DO NOT submit your duplicate diploma order until it is corrected. Name and address changes are handled through the Office of Academic Records by completing and submitting the following form:

An official transcript costs $10.00 per copy. California University transcripts will include all academic levels. We do not produce unofficial or partial transcripts.
If you are a current student and want an official transcript, please login to VIP.
- Log into VIP
- Click Academic Info tab
- Click Credentials Solutions
- Another window will open to the Credentials site and you will follow the prompts.
If you are a current student seeking an unofficial transcript, please login to VIP or DegreeWorks:
- Log into VIP
- From the Home tab, click Banner Self-Service folder
- Click Student
- Click Student Records
- Click Academic Transcript
- Log into VIP
- From the Home tab, find DegreeWorks in the Launch Pad
- Enter your CWID # (begins with “C”)
- Under Format – chose Graduation Checklist
- Click Save as PDF
- Once the PDF is generated, you will need to save it again to your computer.
The service provided by Credential Solutions Inc. includes email notifications regarding the status of your order. Electronic or paper transcripts can be purchased 24 hours/365 days a year using this service. Your credit card will be charged when your order is filled. Expedited service can also be ordered for an additional fee. Electronic transcripts can be delivered as quickly as one (1) hour. Whereas paper copies can take 7-10 business days to be delivered.
If you do not feel comfortable using our online ordering service, you can contact Credentials Solutions Inc. directly at 847-716-3005 and one of their representatives will be happy to assist in filling out the online form with you. Please be aware that Credentials will add an additional charge to your order for this assistance.
Requestors are responsible for providing accurate information in the online request forms. Please be sure to double-check all information you have entered before submitting your order. Transcripts sent to the student will include an "Issued to Student" watermark indicating that if opened it may not be considered official. It is the requestor's responsibility to confirm that the transcript will be accepted as official.
If your records are prior to Fall 2010, there may be a slight delay in your transcript order as an Academic Records employee may need to verify your academic record for accuracy.
